Explore Odiham
Odiham is perfectly situated - close to everything, but with a country feel which is hard to beat.
We boast a Georgian fronted high street with a Saxon core - festooned with coffee shops, pubs and independent businesses.
Odiham is a very active village with many events taking place during the year, such as the Odiham Box Car Race, the Odiham Raft Race and the Odiham Food Extravaganza.
One of the biggest events of the year is Bands in the Bury which takes place right in front of our pub - a fantastic event which gets the village moving.
The Bell is situated in the Bury, opposite All Saints Church and the village stocks. The Pest House original almshouse is located next to the churchyard and contains a small Heritage Centre provided by the Odiham Society. The Odiham Society also has its main Heritage Centre and store of the village archives in the old Parish Room built in 1904.
The Basingstoke Canal runs through the north of the village, and boasts a small wharf, canoe club and other riverside activities. Just a short walk down the canal is our sister village North Warnborough, in which King Johns Castle resides just off the canal. The canal is beautiful any time of year and is a jewel in our parish’s crown.
Within our parish is RAF Odiham, many of whose personnel are valued customers of The Bell. The station is an important part of the village community and participates in Remembrance Sunday, Armed Forces Day and numerous other village events.
Within a short drive you can visit Jane Austen’s House in Chawton, the FAST museum in Farnborough, Basing House in Old Basing and many other heritage landmarks going slightly further. Our proximity with the M3 means we are very accessible from Heathrow, London and the southern port cities. Historic Winchester is just a 30 minute drive to the south.
